A Warm Welcome to BCF’s New Board Members
We’re delighted to present the Branford Community Foundation’s (BCF) newest board members, who support our mission by serving as ambassadors, maintaining BCF’s fiduciary responsibilities and guiding our strategic direction. Board members serve a 3-year term, and are eligible to serve twice.
Jennifer Alexander
After living in Nashville, TN, and Washington, DC, Jennifer came back home to Connecticut, where she is happily raising her two daughters (and their goofy dog) in Branford. Jen has worked for over 20 years at the national, state and local level to bridge the gap between education policy, politics and practice to ensure that all children get the great public education they deserve regardless of race, zip code or family income. Most recently, Jen served as the CEO of the Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now, a pacesetting model of effective state-level education advocacy.
Bobi Gill-Brooks
Born and raised in Branford, Bobi currently serves as the town’s tax collector. She has three sons, two she gave birth to and “one that I got as a bonus with my marriage.” Bobi is pleased to be carrying on a family legacy with her new role on the board. Her father, Bob Gill, served on the BCF board until 2017.
David DeGrasse
David is a paralegal at Green & Sklarz LLC, focusing on estate and trust administration. He serves as the past president of the Branford Lions Club, where he’s been a member since 2012. A Branford native, he and his wife are raising two small children.
Ryan Torello
Ryan is a principal at Progressive Benefit Solutions, LLC, a family-owned and -operated business headquartered in Branford. He and his wife currently have a daughter and are expecting a second bundle of joy in early 2019.
BCF is made possible by its board members, other volunteers, and generous contributors like you, who help to further our cause of preserving and promoting the quality of life in Branford now and for future generations. Donate to BCF or start your own fund today!
