Happy Valentine’s Day, Branford!
We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than writing a blog about our biggest love—the town of Branford!
Here are just three of the many things that make Branford so loveable.
The history
Did you know that Branford is celebrating its 375th birthday this year? Founded in 1644, Branford is a collection of distinct communities, from historic downtown to Stony Creek, all of which have maintained their unique charm. Branford works hard to preserve its historical roots. One of Branford’s biggest preservation projects is the renovation of the historic James Blackstone Memorial Library. The BCF was thrilled to make its largest award to date with a matching grant of $100,000 to encourage community involvement.
The people
Branford is a true melting pot of cultures, ethnicities, and lifestyles, and they all come together to form a vibrant community with soul and generosity of spirit, which is what the BCF is based on. BCF couldn’t exist without the help of its amazing citizens (We’re talking about you!) who work hard for invaluable programs like the Community Dining Room, Camp Totokett and enrichment programs for children in need. It’s people like you who make Branford such an amazing town to live in! Thank you!
The location
With more than 20 miles of beautiful coastline, 2 beaches, 15+ parks, hiking trails, lakes, ponds, marinas, shopping, acclaimed restaurants, and more, Branford offers something for everyone. Branford truly has it all!
