Oh, What a Night! Thank You for Making Hometown Harmonies a Huge Success! Branford, CT
We knew it was going to be an incredible night. An astounding 665 people registered in advance for our community celebration, Hometown Harmonies, when our initial goal was only 250! Another 200 people arrived as walk-ins, and the weather was perfect.
The tent overflowed with mission, music, joy, and laughter. And beyond that, the generosity of the community through the free-will ticket price, donation jar, and sponsorships was beyond our wildest expectations.
Our delightful host Colin Sheehan created an amazing show that featured a powerful progression of singers, from the elementary school students to past Broadway performers. Inspiring repeated standing ovations, these performances were directed by Cathyann Roding, the recently retired Branford High School musical director whose programs proudly supported by the Branford Community Foundation (BCF) through the years.
During a poignant part of the evening, we recognized Eunice Lasala, our guest of honor, for her lasting and continuing impact on Branford. Beyond the overall acknowledgment of her work, we heard from First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove and State Rep. Sean Scanlon, who secured proclamations for Eunice.
Our goal was to raise awareness of BCF, and we feel we did that and more! BCF is so grateful for your support. We extend our deepest thanks to all who attended and supported this community celebration, and look forward to doing it all again next year!
