John J. Mooney Elected to BCF Board of Directors
The Branford Community Foundation, the leader in supporting a variety of local philanthropic needs, programs and services for 35 years, has elected John J. Mooney to its Board of Directors.
Branford native John Mooney has deep personal and professional connections to his hometown and surrounding community. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Fellowship Place, a New Haven based not-for-profit organization committed to helping adults with mental illness lead more meaningful, fulfilling and healthy lives, is an active parishioner and Finance Council member of St. Mary Church, and is also a member of the Branford Rotary Club.
For over 40 years John has provided accounting and advisory services to a number of closely-held businesses and non-profit organizations as a partner at Bailey, Moore, Glazere, Schaefer & Proto, LLP, a leading financial services firm based in Woodbridge, Connecticut. John is a specialist in non-profit organizations, has worked closely with a variety of client-related tax matters and has been involved in federal and state estate and gift planning. Mr. Mooney received a Bachelors of Science degree from Georgetown University and is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
